Final Summary
This project has taught me how to design the basic information technology infrastructure of a start up company. It has helped me solidify what I learned in class because I taught myself how to apply them to a real situation. I think my company has evolved from at first a very small, undeveloped idea to something that sounds like a legitimate company. I am proud of myself for designing something that actually seems presentable in some aspects as a real entrepreneurial idea. Zap Fries evolved into a multidimensional company that implements many information technology ideas and creates a strong company with a healthy infrastructure.

Blog Review
This week I am doing my professional blog review. I am reviewing "Phoood", a blog that reviews different fast food style or generally cheap food. This is an excellent blog because it features many strong components. It has a picture of every food item they review that shows people what is being reviewed and how it looks. Although it would be better if they had real pictures of the food instead of the promotional pictures, because then people could get a more realistic idea of the food. It has a strong, succinct review that gives an honest opinion of the food as well as supporting details to help understanding. It finishes with a rating system comprised of smiley faces to give an idea of how tasty the food is. This blog made me realize that good blogs feature short posts that people can read if it sounds interesting to them. It also showed me that people take fast food very seriously and quality is the biggest issue, not price. There were many items on this blog that only cost $1, but still received a frowney face, in other words "don't waste your money". If some food tastes so bad that you are even able to waste a dollar on it, then you have no chance of selling the food. This blog however needs to be updated more frequently, as there were about a dozen in the past year. Overall, I think this is a pretty good blog that gives people strong ideas of how good cheap foods are.

Operating Systems
At Zap Fries, everyone will use the newest version of windows. This is because most companies have totally adopted windows as their operating system, so we will be most easily compatible with other companies this way. Also, windows is my favorite operating system. I grew up always loving windows, and always hating apple. Apple is user friendly but weak, and windows is just excellent. I will only hire people for my company that know how to use windows. I truly believe that windows is the best because it is a fast operating system. Windows hardly ever crashes or freezes, unlike macs which seem to freeze constantly. Windows is great for creating and saving documents, which is an essential part of maintaining a strong company as I talked about in my excel post. I will have everyone use Gmail as a email tool, because it is a very fast email provider and works well with windows. Windows will work perfectly as an operating system, as it is already adopted as the most used operating system in the world.

RFID tags and Input Devices
Zap Fries is committed to using the most efficient, new, and sexy devices available. Everyone in my company will have enhanced keyboards that feature lots of bonuses like function keys, arrow keys, and multiple alt and cntrl keys. All of the keyboards will have ergonomic cushions to maximize comfort and employee satisfaction. Everyone will also have air mouses, so that they don't get tired of dragging around an old mouse that uses obsolete technologies like lasers or even balls. Everyone will also have brand new android Verizon phones, because those are my favorite. They are efficient, fast, and lightweight. I will also invest in some high end video conferencing technology. This may include web cams, software, and other output devices to make video conferencing worth while and easy. Video conferencing will eliminate costs of flying around places because you can just start up a video conference.
RFID is another technology that will be very important to Zap Fries. RFID makes inventory and stocking much faster and easier. I will send crates of Zap Fries to my stockists, and each crate will be weighed. RFID tags will be administered to all of the crates, so that people know exactly the quantity of Zap Fries inside. I may also begin to put additional, or "secondary", RFID tags on smaller sums of Zap Fries in the crates, should this make sense in terms of efficiency in the long run. The use of RFID tags and other input devices will keep Zap Fries running smoothly and making cash.

Excel
Using excel is a vital tool that will help Zap Fries develop into a strong brand. I will use excel to organize all of my data. I can use it to organize my spending and income to evaluate my profit. I can also use excel to keep data of where Zap Fries is selling and how popular it is at certain locations. The ability to organize my data in a simple and efficient way and evaluate my data are very important assets that excel gives me.
With excel, I will be able to organize my data. I will have data for spending and revenue. I can put in my revenue and subtract my spendings for the company to understand my profit. I can use additional excel features to display my data in an easily understandable matter. Excel will make my company run more efficiently because I will not have to take time to do calculations and other things that excel will do for me.

Microwavable French Fries
My name is Connor Olson, and I will be launching a company that sells microwavable french fries. My company's name is Zap Fries. I will sell bags of fries that are the size of microwavable popcorn bags. I will sell boxes that contain several bags of Zap Fries. The only thing the consumer needs to do is put the bag in the microwave and hit the popcorn button. The fries cook in oil inside the bag and become hot and crispy in little time. They are also tasty.
I will be setting up a Facebook page as well as a Twitter account. I will post news and updates about Zap Fries on both of these media. This is a very important part of building my company, because social media is a strong tool. It is a great way to get people involved with my company and answer any questions that they have. Social media is so great because it makes people feel connected with the company, so they feel that they are connected with my company and my mission to deliver fast, easy, and delicious fries to everyone. Please keep checking this blog, as I will be giving updates on Zap Fries and progress.
