This week I am doing my professional blog review. I am reviewing "Phoood", a blog that reviews different fast food style or generally cheap food. This is an excellent blog because it features many strong components. It has a picture of every food item they review that shows people what is being reviewed and how it looks. Although it would be better if they had real pictures of the food instead of the promotional pictures, because then people could get a more realistic idea of the food. It has a strong, succinct review that gives an honest opinion of the food as well as supporting details to help understanding. It finishes with a rating system comprised of smiley faces to give an idea of how tasty the food is. This blog made me realize that good blogs feature short posts that people can read if it sounds interesting to them. It also showed me that people take fast food very seriously and quality is the biggest issue, not price. There were many items on this blog that only cost $1, but still received a frowney face, in other words "don't waste your money". If some food tastes so bad that you are even able to waste a dollar on it, then you have no chance of selling the food. This blog however needs to be updated more frequently, as there were about a dozen in the past year. Overall, I think this is a pretty good blog that gives people strong ideas of how good cheap foods are.

Pictures of food is a huge trend on the web. There are literally hundreds of sites popping up everywhere just to display images of food. You could integrate this idea into your with social media and perhaps a competition having users send in pictures of their fries.
ReplyDeletei think it great idea. it sounds like old idea "using microwave" but it has to be used with the high technology. it makes potato smaller to get in to a bag like popcorn and make them pop up. it is not a easy way to get this.
